Meet the Staff

Alex
Alex grew up in Philomath and moved to Portland after graduating from high school. He has been a volunteer for the Oregon Humane Society and several veterinary clinics. In addition to his work as a technician, Alex plays an important role in maintaining all our technology, from computers to digital x-ray.
Amanda
Amanda was born and raised in the California Bay Area. From an early age she knew she wanted to work with animals. She has study Biological Sciences at Mission College in Santa Clara, California. Amanda worked with her previous hospital for 4 years before relocating to Oregon to be closer to family. When Amanda is not nursing the patients of Hillsdale Veterinary Group she enjoys catching shows with local musicians, impromptu travels, exploring Portland, and snuggling her four cats: Bazi, Carrera, Jetta, and Nikka.
Katy
Katy was born in Oregon City and raised in Portland. Katy worked as a veterinary assistant, Nutro nutrition specialist and for a doggie daycare before joining us. Katy spends her spare time horseback riding, jogging, playing soccer and spending time with her two cats Blackjack and Mr. Coach, her newfoundland Gracie, her old border collie, Lady Bug and her boston terrier, Reno. Katy will be pursuing a degree in the medical field in 2011.
Stephanie
Stephanie was born in Colorado and later moved to Rogue River. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies in 2008 from the University of Oregon. Prior to joining the Hillsdale Veterinary Group, Stephanie worked at a local doggie daycare. She has also spent several years working with horses and assists with training at a hunter/jumper equine facility. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys horse racing, trail-riding, hiking, and playing with her two rescue dogs, Patrick and Huckleberry Finn.
Mary
A fourth-generation Oregonian, Mary has 15 years of veterinary management experience. She earned a B.A. in Geography from the University of Oregon and also has worked in restaurant management. Her interests include cooking, reading, driving son Sam to his ski races, crew practice, and playing with the family pets. She welcomes your comments and suggestions on all aspects of the Hillsdale Veterinary Group.
Christa

Christa was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She recently moved to Portland after graduating from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. In Radford, she worked for a local animal hospital. Christa spends her spare time playing basketball, hiking, and reading history books. She currently has 3 dogs- one mixed rescue dog named Buck, and two rottweilers named Colby and Reagan.
